The 58-meter long Dewi Nusantara is one of the queens of the Indonesian high seas. Her itinerary is focused on travellers with time to explore Indonesia. On her 12 day voyages she takes guests to some of the most exotic destinations around the archipelago. In 2017 she will be sailing around the jagged islands of Raja Ampat in the heart of the coral triangle, visiting the ancient Maluku spice islands and exploring the seas surrounding the Komodo National Park.
Dewi Nusantara is designed in the style of a traditional pinisi vessel and built from beautifully polished tropical timbers. You can choose to stay in one of the 8 staterooms or book the master suite. Everything has been arranged to ensure your comfort. A chef prepares fresh meals on the trip. Trained diving instructors lead all the dives and staff are there to accommodate your needs. Boat Information and Safety Features
The Dewi Nusanatara is 58 meters long with a top speed of 10 knots. The boat is powered by two 500 hp Nissan twin turbo diesel engines. There’s a 7.5 meter long speedboat attached with a Yamaha 4 stroke 200 hp engine. The vessel is outfitted with all the modern safety and navigation features that you would expect (this includes radar, depth sounder, GPS, emergency rafts).
Dewi Nusantara has a total of 9 cabins with two cabin types; deluxe cabin and master cabin. Up to 18 guests can be accommodated on the boat. There are 20 crew members on board the Dewi Nusantara. This includes trained chef and kitchen staff, masseurs as well as the dive instructors. Crew have first aid training. Members of staff can speak English, Spanish and Indonesian.
You will have plenty of opportunity for diving while onboard the Dewi Nusantara. Most trips offer between 30-40 dives. Diving equipment can be rented onboard ship. Photography equipment is also available. Nitrox is available for advanced divers. Keep in mind that you need to have Advanced Open Water Certification for some dive sites.
