In less than a year international flights will start to arrive in Labuan Bajo and I have a feeling that this town is set to explode onto the tourist scene. The setting is breathtaking (and this really isn’t an exaggeration). Padar and Komodo Island, home to the Komodo Dragons, are just a short boat trip away and you can easily do overnight trips to traditional villages like Wae Rebo. I could go on, but this list of things to do in Labuan Bajo will give you an idea on just how much the town has to offer. Of course I’d recommend visiting before the crowds come!

Green Hill Boutique Hotel from $28 a Night
Green Hill Boutique Hotel has the ambience of a boutique hotel. The hotel uses refurbished wood, which gives it an eco decor and the rooms offer beautiful views over the bay. It is conveniently located in the centre of town. The hotel is a favourite for travellers who are planning to do or returning from a live aboard trip to the Komodo National Park. Issues raised by previous guest who reviewed the hotel on Agoda include the slow Internet connection and that the rooms can be noisy (the hotel is close to the main road going through town).
Sunset Hill Hotel from $41 a Night
If a quiet hillside retreat is what you need to reinvigorate you, the Sunset Hill hotel is for you. The hotel offers rooms with balconies overlooking the bay and the views are fantastic. In fact the most common feedback about the hotel on Agoda is just how beautiful the views are! Other positive feedback includes the spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The main complaint about the hotel is the restaurant, which reviewers seem to agree is overpriced. Another thing to keep in mind is you can only get Wi-Fi in the restaurant.
La Boheme Bajo from $26 a night

La Cecile Hotel & Cafe Komodo from $70 a Night
Some guests say that the rooms in this hotel need to be upgraded or better maintained. But I could say La Cecile is one of the best spots to see the sunset in Labuan Bajo. Seaesta Komodo Hostel & Hotel from $69 a Night ($15 per bed in a dorm)
Seaesta is strategically located in the middle of Labuan Bajo. It is a short walk to the TPI Kampung Ujung, a great place to go if you fancy fresh seafood in the evening. The Plataran Komodo Beach Resort is one of the best hotels in Labuan Bajo. The resort, located on Waecicu Beach, has beachfront villas and poolside villas. The setting is beautiful, the beach is kept clean and you can go snorkelling around the coral reefs in front of the resort.
