What to Expect

The Two Day One Night Discovery Tour offers a chance to learn about local Sasak culture and explore some of the natural highlights of the island of Lombok. The first destination on your itinerary is the village of Banyumulek, on the West coast of the island. Banyumulek Village is famous for the quality of its earthenware pottery. After visiting Banyumulek the driver will take you to Sade Village. In the afternoon you will visit some beaches. First you visit Tanjung Aan Beach, where you have lunch. Then you’ll visit neighbouring Mawun Beach, before returning to your hotel.

On the second day of the 2 Day 1 Night Discovery Tour you start the day with a visit to Ekas Bay. The bay, shaped like a horseshoe, is a popular spot with surfers who catch the break just in front of the beach. You can spend the morning exploring the beach and swimming, before you head to Lombok’s Pink Beach. The colour of the sand comes from red coral. There are coral reefs just offshore, which are perfect for snorkelling. In the afternoon you’ll take a traditional fishing boat to Sebui Beach and the island of Gili Petelu.

If you have researched about Lombok you’ll know that one of the biggest exports from Lombok are pearls. The seas surrounding Gili Petelu are a well known spot for pearl farming. You can see the long lines where the pearls are farmed from the beach on the island. After visiting Sebui Beach and Gili Petelu you will take a short trek along the headland of Tanjung Ringgit. You can see turtles swimming in the surf from the top of the cliffs. The tour ends in the evening when your driver drops you off at your hotel.

The Lombok Discovery Tour is an opportunity to learn about the rich Sasak culture, visit traditional villages and see firsthand how the famous earthenware pottery and hand woven fabrics are produced. Over two days you will also visit hidden caves, visit isolated tropical islands and swim through reefs teeming with fish. It’s a mix of culture and adventure.
