Another day, another catch-up. #WeeklyRecap2024 for week 45 (4-10 November 2024). Right now, I’m cozy in a lodge in West Sumbawa. It’s a beautiful place and setting. I’ll share more details after we check out. Seeing such stunning sights always reminds me that life is a series of choices.

What we consider ideal, fun, and peaceful is subjective and varies from person to person. What brings joy to one individual might not resonate with another. Many people find themselves lost/confused in life because they haven’t truly explored their values, passions, and goals. Without a clear understanding of what they truly desire, it becomes difficult to make choices that lead to fulfillment and happiness (worry not, I struggle with that too from time to time, haha.)

Cover photo: The bedroom is looking good with most of the furniture and amenities.. We’re just waiting for the mattress, which should arrive soon. Oh and maybe we’ll get a big mirror too.

7: I’ve been enjoying a new Thursday morning yoga routine with Posma and Gina. It’s been great.
8: We’ve finally installed the kitchen countertop. We’re glad we found a solution for the mistakenly measured oven space. 😅
9: I love mangoes 🥭, especially during the season when they’re fresh and affordable.
10: I recently visited Wombats, a new coffee shop in South Yogyakarta. Their coffee is nice 👌🏾

Hey again for #WeeklyRecap2024 ! This is my post for week 44 of 2024, which is October 28th to November 3rd, 2024. I’m falling behind again, but that’s nothing new for me, right? 🤣🤣 How are you doing these last few months of 2024? I hope you’re enjoying them.

Cover Photos: I decided to create some lino cut designs inspired by Batik Pottery. I’m happy with the results, although there’s always room for improvement. Not bad for a beginner 😎

28: We’ve been looking at different lamp styles for our car port area. This one looks pretty cool, and we might get something similar.
29: We visited our friend’s factory to look for composite materials for our outdoor shower pole and gate. Things are really starting to come together.
30: I finally learned how to do lino cuts, and it wasn’t as complicated as I thought it would be. It was so much fun! I’d love to do it again.
31: We went to Qhome Mart and chose this countertop for our service area. I think I’ve mentioned before that we’re experiencing decision fatigue..
1: Our second lino cutting session (with Rara and Asa). It was fun, and we tried a different, softer lino rubber that was easier to work with. We liked it. It was also fun to document the house since Nico and I will be moving out soon.
2: We finally sorted out the curtains. We’ll be using fabric curtains for some areas (this is the sheer fabric we chose) and wooden blinds for others. Exciting!
3: Weekend dessert date with Nico :) I need to remember that I prefer their cheesecake to their tiramisu haha.

Week 43 of 2024. This post is for October 21-27, 2024 #WeeklyRecap2024. My life continues to revolve around home project and pottery, haha. I spent the beginning of the week in Jakarta and was thrilled to catch up with some friends.

Sometimes I feel disconnected from the city, but then I ride the TransJakarta bus alone, and all the memories flood back. I smile to myself and feel a strong connection to the city. I bet you’ve felt similarly about a city, town, or even a person, maybe? Haha.

Cover photo: We were searching for plant pots for our home and stumbled upon this little (but surprisingly large) gem in Kasongan. The place is quite extensive at the back. I couldn’t find it on Google Maps, but look for “Sumo Keramik” - that’s pretty much the location.

21: I met up with Posma, a good friend from university. She was curious about Living Stone’s coffee, so we visited the one in SCBD, Jakarta. The coffee was excellent.
22: Catching up with Puti often involves Ben Gong or Jajan Si Manis. I was lucky to visit both places on this day.
23: Remember the art piece from Johannesburg? We finally had it installed, and it looks perfect. 😍
24: It’s fun to see Halloween decorations in stores, restaurants, and cafes. This one looks quite smart.
25: A little peek into the bedroom :) Here’s another lampshade design we ordered from Cepogo, Boyolali.
26: Some results of the glaze test we did a few days ago. Some look good, while others not so much. We’ll need to do another glaze test. And then another. Hahaahaha.
27: Enjoyed a well-deserved feast after a short ‘trail run’ 🏃🏻‍♀️ in the north with Cross Limit running buddies. It was fun!

I am still determined to keep up with my tiny project #WeeklyRecap2024 mueheheheee. This time, the post is for week 42 of 2024 (October 14-20, 2024). I went to Jakarta for a relative’s wedding this week. 🥹💫 I got to see so many cousins, aunts, uncles, and others. It was a lot of fun. Since the wedding was at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), we also managed to ride the cable car. Have you ever tried it?

Cover photo: A visit to Giyanti coffee. I often forget that I should always order the “light” one here haha (the medium one is too much for me). Back then, Giyanti felt so warm and cozy, and then at some point, it felt so distant and cold... Now, I’m SO HAPPY that it is warm and cozy again!

14: It was a sad day. One of Nico’s friends in Yogyakarta passed away the night before :(
15: Our main bathroom might have already made an appearance on Instagram a few times. This is the junior bathroom. You might think that we like green, right? We do.
16: We got to meet some of our old friends. We ended up playing pool together at night, and it was so much fun.
17: Not going to gatekeep this. For folks in Yogyakarta who love coffee, have you tried “Dari Aku” dirty latte? If you haven’t, you should 😌😉
18: We tested some designs for our little project. Hope it will be fruitful. Fingers crossed.
19: I love the train journey between Yogyakarta and Jakarta. My favorite thing is to grab breakfast at brunch time, like 10-10:30 AM, at the restaurant carriage. I’ll always go for their Nasi Sei Sapi. It’s spicy but so good.
20: Hello, Jakarta! I love Demie Bakmie’s noodle (mie keriting). It has just the right texture and firmness for me 🤤

Hi, week 41 of 2024 is here. This post is for October 7-13, 2024. I’m only two weeks behind on this #WeeklyRecap2024 project—whoop whoop! 🙆🏻‍♀️🙌🏽 Can’t be more proud of myself for sticking to this little project of mine, haha.

Halloween is coming in a few days. Do you have any plans with friends or family that involve wearing costumes? I love it when people dress up all out, doll up for an event, and get excited about it. I think that’s one of the fun things about being human.

Oh, hello! This post is for the #WeeklyRecap2024 for week 40 of 2024. We’re finally entering October 🤣🤣 the same month as the actual one! I’ll try my very best to catch up with my own tiny project 🤪

I hope October’s treating you well! This morning, I listened to a podcast and heard this for the first time: “Keep in mind there’s a clock ticking that we can’t see. Love whoever loves you and enjoy life.” What are your thoughts on that? Make sure to cherish your precious time with precious people 🥹🩷💫💐
