Our Yogyakarta Community Bicycle Tour is your chance to explore the countryside surrounding Yogya. On this two hour bike ride you’ll cycle along quiet country lanes, visit the Royal Tombs of Imogiri and enjoy a simple Javanese breakfast at a local restaurant. It’s an enjoyable, healthy and delicious way to spend part of your day.

We run this activity with our local partner in a small village 20 minutes outside of Yogyakarta. It’s a community run project that gets local people engaged in tourism. What to Expect

The bicycle tour starts in the village of Tembi. The cost for cycling tour is Rp275,000 per person. We can offer a small discount for more than 3 pax 😊. For the morning ride the suggested arrival time at the meeting point is 6:30 am and for the afternoon ride, the suggested arrival time at the meeting point is 1:30 pm. I recommend using Gojek or Grab (the online transport services) to get to Tembi. Don’t worry, we’ll give you the address and you’ll have the contact number for the guide just in case you need it.testimonial-alzinda

We recommend you start at 6:30 am, because it is still cool. During the raining season it will probably rain in the afternoon, which is another reason for the morning start. The guide will give you a bottle of water for the ride.

The Jogja Cycle tour is split into two 45 minute chunks. For the first 45 minutes you’ll ride along small country lanes through the fields and villages around Yogya towards the Imogiri Royal Tombs. After a short rest you’ll grab a traditional Javanese breakfast and then return to the start point.

The Yogya Bicycle Tour is a chance to explore the countryside surrounding Yogya. If you like the outdoors you’ll enjoy this tour. It can be easily combined with the batik workshop, which is held in the same village. We’ll offer you a discount if you book both activities. Fill in the form below to join our Bicycle Tour. We’ll confirm your tour at the soonest.
