With its yoga retreats, boutique shops and international restaurants, Ubud has long been famous with travellers looking for something more than just a beach holiday. Part of the attraction is the isolation. Surrounded by rainforest and green rice fields it is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. To help you pick the perfect hotel for your holiday, here are 7 of the best luxury hotels in Ubud with infinity pools.

The first hotel on this list is the most popular luxury hotel in Ubud with an infinity pool at the moment. We’ve ranked the other six recommended hotels on the list by price. Let’s get started!

We’ve provided price for guidance, but it might not be the same for your travel date. Scroll through the images on the slider to find out more about the hotel.

The DYI Best Luxury Hotel with Infinity Pool in Ubud

Komaneka at Tanggayuda from $329

The Komaneka at Tanggayuda is our recommendation for the best luxury hotel with infinity pool around Ubud. This five star resort is in a picturesque setting overlooking the Oos River. The villas at the resort are spacious with an open plan design. The villas each have a private pool, while facilities at the hotel include a spa, restaurant, bar and library.

The highlight of the hotel for most guests is the impeccable service. Staff are courteous, attentive and helpful (they go the extra mile, doing things like arranging surprise birthday celebrations, which are very well received). Though technically not in Ubud, Komaneka at Tanggayuda is just a short 10 minutes drive away from the city. A hotel shuttle service ensures that your isolation is a choice and not a necessity.

Pita Maha Ubud from $282

The Pita Maha Ubud Resort is the first resort on this list that is within walking distance of Ubud centre. It is set in carefully landscaped grounds on the slopes of the Tjampuhan valley. The highlight of the resort is the infinity pool that offers sweeping views of rice terraces and tropical woodland. Pita Maha Resort and Spa only offers private villas. The villas are decorated with hand-woven fabrics and furniture blending together traditional and modern Balinese design.

Reviews of the resort on Agoda highlight the location and the great views and food served at the restaurant. While reviews were overwhelmingly positive guests did identify a few issues. For example as the resort is set on the slopes of a valley you need to climb a lot of steps. Something to consider if you have problems walking.

Komaneka at Bisma from $311

Komaneka at Bisma is a 44-room luxury resort set in 5km of rice fields and tropical rainforest surrounding Ubud. The resort offers a both private villas and suites for guests. Each of the villas has an infinity pool overlooking the rice terraces and coconut groves in the valley below.

Reviews by guests of the Komaneka by Bisma enjoy the location of the hotel, surrounded by jungle, the service, staff call you by name, and of course the infinity pool. Though the hotel is a bit dated, it has a rustic charm that guests compliment. The flip side of the location is that the Komaneka Bisma is quite far outside of Ubud. Though there is a free shuttle service available for guests.

Hanging Gardens of Bali from $532

The infinity pools at the Hanging Gardens of Bali are widely recognized as one of the best in the world. The two-tiered cascading pools were named by Condé Nast Traveller as the “World’s Best Swimming Pool.” The location is dramatic overlooking the Ayung River and the ancient Dalem Segara temple. The 44 private villas have open planned design with balconies overlooking the thickly wooded slopes of the valley.

With a reputation as being the luxury hotel with the best infinity pool in Ubud the resort has a lot to live up to. While service is overall excellent and the villas are beautiful reviews on Booking highlight issues with location. The location is a bit far from the Ubud centre. A more fundamental issue is the fact that the villas look over each other so you do not get complete privacy.

The Viceroy Bali from $558

The Viceroy Bali is an exclusive family owned resort famous with international travellers who are looking for a tropical getaway. The resort is located in Bali’s “Valley of the Kings,” a name given to the area by locals because for generations Balinese royalty have lived in the area. The hotel has 25 private villas with modern design and traditional Balinese high thatched roofs.

Feedback left by guests about the hotel on Agoda is overwhelmingly positive. Guests compliment the luxurious private villas, beautiful setting and great food. While most guests leaving reviews found the service from staff impeccable, many felt the service could be improved. Though a small issue for a hotel of this quality it is something that should be resolved.

Mandapa Ubud from $579

The Mandapa Resort was designed to resemble a traditional Balinese village. The resort has 60 properties, 25 private villas and 35 suites. The Balinese influence is tastefully exhibited in every detail of the design. Each villa is tastefully decorated in its own individual style. Room comes with a personal butler and the four restaurants offer international cuisine.

With rooms starting from more than $570 a night the Mandapa Ubud is the most expensive luxury hotel with an infinity pool on this list. Reviews left on Agoda are all positive. Guests found the service to be exceptional, the villas large and comfortable with breathtaking views. The only negative feedback, that the hotel is not easy for disabled people, even turns out to be a positive because of the accommodating staff who did everything they could to help.
