I believe the best holidays always include an adventure. Things like white water rafting through dense jungle, or paragliding along the coast between the cliffs and the see. These types of adventure tours are a great way to meet new people and create beautiful memories.
To help you make the most of your time in Bali, I’ve partnered with travel companies that offer adrenaline packed day tours. Here are some of the best adventure tours in Bali for your holiday.
White Water Rafting
White water rafting through the jungles around Ubud is a great adventure. The scenery is really beautiful and the rapids are fast flowing and fun, but not too dangerous. A white water rafting trip lasts half a day. Kids over the age of 12 can also join, though they should be good swimmers.
Ubud ATV Ride
The countryside around Ubud is famous for its terraced rice paddy fields and lush forests. While some people like to take a cycle tour around Ubud, an ATV offers a more adventurous way to explore the muddy tracks and forests of the island. It’s a great way to explore the countryside and a lot of fun.
Strap on your harness, abseil down waterfalls, zipline through gorges and jump off of cliffs. A full day of canyoning is a real adventure and something that every adrenaline junky should try at least once. It is an expensive day trip, but I really believe it’s worth it.
Paragliding around Nusa Dua is one of the most memorable activities that you can do around Bali. There are few things that that offer you as much freedom (and a different perspective) as paragliding. As you float above the coastline with the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin you’ll know that you’re on holiday. This activity is available from May – October.
If you’ve been to a windy beach you’ve probably found yourself watching people kite surf and wondering what it would be like. Now’s your chance to try (I promise you it’s a lot of fun)! The combination of speed and freedom makes this a great sport to try (plus you don’t hurt yourself if you fall over).
Learn to Surf
If you want to learn to surf then there are few better spots in the world than Bali. The island has some of the best surf spots in the world and everybody seems to be out on the waves. Surf classes with a private instructor last an hour and include the price of the board rental. It’s a lot of fun, but there’s the danger that you’ll get addicted (you’ve been warned!).
